You Can Kill by Rebecca Zanetti

You Can Kill by Rebecca Zanetti takes us back into the Pacific Northwest with Laurel Snow.  Once again murders are showing up in the land of ice and snow.  Laurel recognizes the pattern and realizes her mother is in danger based on the victims she is investigating.  Huck Rivers, Washington Fish and Wildlife captain joins the investigation. Lauren and Huck’s relationship ends up as part of the investigation as more information is revealed about the murder victims.

Laurel’s half sister and father play major roles in this novel. Their twisted narcissist tendencies with their superior attitude really grate on Huck and Lauren (and this reader).  Lauren knows that they are deep within the mysterious killings and somehow they keep changing the focus through the social media of the “Killing Hour”.  The novel moves rapidly between various situations and incidents, causing Huck and Lauren to race from one scene to another. To top it off Lauren is pregnant and Huck is extremely protective of her.

You Can Kill by Rebecca Zanetti is a suspenseful novel that captures the reader’s attention almost from the beginning.  The story of Huck and Laurel makes the reader cheer for them, desiring the truth to come out.  The fourth novel about Laurel Snow, You Can Kill by Rebecca Zanetti is a great read.
