Tracker by Indy Quillen

Tracker by Indy Quillen should come with a warning label!  The book is too good to put down when in the middle of reading.  You should be prepared to stay up late reading and might not be able to physically put the book down until completed.  Do not start late at night as you will not want to go to sleep.

Tracker by Indy Quillen is a suspenseful thriller with a side of romance.  Fox Walker, a Native American, is the person to call when someone is missing.  He is able to track missing people as well as survive in the harsh mountains of his home.  He is strong in his beliefs that there is a story to be read from the tracks. This is the first book in the series.

Fox Walker is called out to find out if there is a person living in the woods on private land.  He is given to believe the person is dangerous and a killer.  Instead he finds a young woman who is alone and surviving on her wits living in a cave.  The woman does not know how she got there and is equally unsure of who she is.  She is afraid and knows she needs to hide.  There are carvings on her stomach that are the remnants of her abduction which lead to a serial killer.  Fox Walker is determined to keep her safe and alive.

The novel is suspenseful from beginning to end.  The main character, Fox Walker, is obviously skilled and knowledgeable, which allows the reader to trust him from the beginning,  not so much for some of the other characters.  The storyline was presented at a good pace and moved along to the conclusion.  Tracker by Indy Quillen is a really good read.
