The Night Island ( Book Two) by Jayne Ann Krentz is the second book in her newest series The Lost Night Files. The book is full of paranormal happenings as well as some real creepy people. The storyline that starts off the series is that three young women were all kidnapped, given drugs and left to die. Instead they woke up realizing the building was on fire and escaped only to realize that they lost a day in their life and someone tried to harm them. Talia March, Pallas Llewellyn, and Amelia Rivers are bound together by this memory and start a podcast called the Lost Night Files to help share their stories and work on solving mysteries of the paranormal. The drugs they were given have seemed to make their psychic senses stronger and more vibrant.
Talia is looking for a fan of the podcast who reached out to her. The only problem is that Phoebe is missing, but Luke Rand is there also trying to speak with Phoebe. Luke has been kidnapped and escaped in a similar scene to Talia’s and wants answers. Before you know it Luke Rand and Talia are on a quest to a mysterious island to find the missing person along with finding out what happened to their lost memories. The island is lush with tropical plants that radiate light and creepy storms. It is here that Luke and Talia start to realize the depths that people will go through to keep their secrets.
The novel is full of pure Jayne Anne Krentz’s drama and characters. The twists and turns of the story hold your attention while the characters continue to search for answers. The Night Island ( Book Two) by Jayne Ann Krentz is a fun read.
