The Librarians by Sherry Thomas is a fun murder mystery where 4 librarians band together to find the answer. However, it means that their library is no longer a safe secret place for them and each is afraid of telling the others about their secret. The novel is listed as taking place in a suburb of Austin, Texas, however I think it reads in such a way that it could take place in any number of suburbs around the US.
The library had its first (of many, hopefully) game nights. The participants all seemed to have a good time. Until the next day, when they discovered two of them had died. Each person (Hazel, Astrid, Jonathan and Sophie) can be tied in some way to what happened in the library with the knowledge that each of them and even the library itself might not survive the investigation.
I loved the intricacies of the plot line and the characters. I found the novel a wonderful way to lose yourself for an entire afternoon enjoying all the mechanisms of the characters. The Librarians by Sherry Thomas is a good read.
