The Lake House by Lori Foster

The Lake House by Lori Foster was a wonderful story of love, family and making choices.  Families are not always made of blood.  This is the second book in the Firefly Summer.  I enjoyed the first book tremendously and really looked forward to this one.  The book takes place in Bramble, Kentucky,  a very small town on a lake.

This book focuses on Pixie Nolan and her son Andy. Pixie is working on getting her life back on track.  She thought she was in love only to find out he was married, she was left with nothing except being pregnant. She is helped by Marlow and Cort, now her landlords.

New to town is Brogan Rafferty and his baby niece Shayna.  He has come to this small town on purpose to meet Pixie and Andy.  He believes there is a family line between Andy and Shana (half siblings) and wants to find out.  However, he is slow to reveal the information and some things get muddled with other events happening.

I enjoyed this novel very much.  I thought Pixie and Brogan were great together and wanted them to ‘find’ each other!  I also wanted Brogan to connect with Marlow and Cort.  Oh and to live happily ever after…It is important to me that books end well.  The Lake House by Lori Foster was a great read.
