Sweet Redemption by Chris Keniston is the next installment to the Sweet family and their ranch in Texas. In each of the prior novels, each of the Sweet children came home determined to do what they could to save the ranch by marrying and getting monies from the trust to help replace everything that was stolen by the old foreman and his “helpers” ranch hands.
In this novel, the couple consists of the mother of the Sweets: Alice is a widow and still vibrant. The new foreman is Clint. He is an ex-convict and is very careful with anything he does, because he is positive he is not worthy of his position. Alice and Clint seem to find comfort in each other and enjoy working on the ranch.
So much happens in this novel, with the mystery of where their money, equipment and cattle have gone. I was glad some of those questions were being addressed and then there was the humdinger of an ending. Sweet Redemption by Chris Keniston was a good read.
