Sleep No More by Jayne Ann Krentz (The Lost Night Files #1)

Sleep No More (Book One) by Jayne Ann Krentz is the first book in her newest series The Lost Night Files.  The book is full of paranormal happenings as well as some real creepy people.  The storyline that starts off the series is that three young women were all kidnapped, given drugs and left to die.  Instead they woke up realizing the building was on fire and escaped only to realize that they lost a day in their life and someone tried to harm them.  Talia March, Pallas Llewellyn, and Amelia Rivers are bound together by this memory and start a podcast called the Lost Night Files to help share their stories and work on solving mysteries of the paranormal.  The drugs they were given have seemed to make their psychic senses stronger and more vibrant.

Pallas travels to Carnelian, California to investigate a case.  While there she meets Ambrose Drake, the man who instigated the case as he is positive there was a murder at the sleep clinic while he was there. The problems include no body, no witnesses and no evidence.  Pallas and Ambrose begin to unravel the situation when problems begin to escalate including the near death experience when the house they were exploring blew up.

The paranormal element adds interest to the novel as does the chemistry between the main characters.  I love how the book brings you into the story so quickly and holds that attention throughout the whole book.
Sleep No More (Book One) by Jayne Ann Krentz is a great start to a new series.
