Parker by Katy Regnery is the fifth book in the series called The Stewarts of Skagway. In each book we have met another one of the Stewarts. They run all sorts of travel adventures out of Skagway as their family business. This novel focuses on Parker as the next to youngest daughter. As always, books in this series can be read as stand-alones.
Parker is off to Las Vegas for a week. She is representing the family business at a huge convention. This is one way her family connects with the local tourist agencies who plan trips for their clients. She is disturbed to realize that Quinn, the brother’s best friend and her nemesis is also at the same convention for his family’s business as well. What she doesn’t realize is that Quinn has some strong feelings for her. Feelings that come out when they spend time together in Las Vegas. They certainly enjoy themselves even while they are figuring out their story.
I do like the enemies to lovers genre and enjoyed the novel. Parker’s need to double think everything did get a little exhausting, but it made me like her more when she was able to understand that there is not a lot of room between love and hate. Katy Regnery continues to find ways to write entertaining books with interesting characters. Parker is a great read.
