Outlaw Lake by Maisey Yates
Outlaw Lake by Maisey Yates is the second book in her Rustler Mountain series. It absolutely can be read as a stand alone, although I suspect you will want to read them both. Rustler Mountain is in Oregon and is famous for its reenactments from the Wild West. It is a tourist center and many people work on building the community. There is a bit of lawlessness versus lawfulness in the books.
Carson Wilder and Perry Bramble are best friends and have been forever. They finish each other’s sentences, can read each other’s mind and spend most of their free time together. However, neither thinks they are good enough or just enough for the other one, even though they will do anything for each other. Perry owns her own flower shop and Carson works on his family’s ranch. Both have dreams of the future that both include and do not include each other.
The sparks in this novel fly off the page with these two characters. They are constantly drawn together and you just want them to get on with it! Outlaw Lake by Maisey Yates is a fun, fast read that is enjoyable!
