Our Perfect Storm by Carley Fortune is one of those books that require a box of tissues. The story is poignant, reminding us how often it is easy to not see someone in front of us. The book is a wonderful romance full of moments that stay with you. The setting is rich and lush adding to the story.
Frankie and George have been best friends since they met. When they were 10 they pretended to marry. When they were young adults, they shared an apartment. Frankie missed George when he was away. Her family and his family were tight with each other.
Then Frankie met Nate and thought marriage was the answer until he left a note on the night before. Frankie is devastated and after wallowing for a couple of months, George suggests a plan to help her move on.
The novel makes you laugh and cry. Sigh with anticipation and impatience. Our Perfect Storm by Carley Fortune is a wonderful novel full of hope and love.
