Open Season by Jonathan Kellerman

Open Season by Jonathan Kellerman is the fortieth book of the Alex Delaware series. The novels include a cast of characters that have become familiar to his readers.  Alex (a psychologist) is asked to help out Milo Sturgis (a police lieutenant for the homicide division) solve cases that seem to have no clear path to answers.  As always each book can be read as a stand alone novel.

This season includes murder as one would expect.  The method of killing is quite specific and leads to questioning about other similar crimes, which are few and far between.  However, Milo finds that there are some and struggles to connect them all except for the method of death.  The strangeness of the connection between the victims lead Alex and Milo on an unusual journey through Los Angeles looking for a twisted killer.

Open Season by Jonathan Kellerman is a ‘great who-dun-it’ with all the twists and turns that one expects from a Kellerman novel.  The descriptions of the places and the people always make the book seem more realistic and thrilling.  Open Season by Jonathan Kellerman is a great read.
