New Blog: Winding up the year…

The Statistics:

According to Goodreads, I read 322 books this year.  I can’t even imagine how I did that except for the wound and the long term care of it.  They also have noted I completed 15 out of 15 challenges (monthly, I think some months had more than one.) and 4 out of 12 challenges in the genre challenge.  Although I should note I did not know I was completing those challenges.  The shortest book was 57 pages and the longest book was 592 pages.  The most recent read was Seven Reasons to Murder Your Dinner Guests by KJ Whittle. (4 stars – I enjoyed this book) and the first book I read was Peace River Village by Christopher Amato (2 stars – it was okay).

I honestly do not have any idea how many followers I have between Goodreads, Tumblr, Pinterest, Amazon, Facebook and Instagram. Please know I appreciate each and every one of you!  I’ve joined two online book groups, one on Facebook and one on Instagram/Fable.  Oh and yes I added Fable to my list of book places. If you want to receive a link to all the new reads weekly – let me know and I will add you to my list.

What does all this mean?  It means I am reading a lot.  I am reading different things slowly.  I am enjoying most of what I read.  The fact is if I do not like the book, after a certain number of pages, I stop reading it.  That probably explains why I like so many of the books I read.   Oh and I have five books waiting for me at the library.

The most amazing part – at least for me – is that I have started to keep track of my books on spread sheets.  Yes, I have fallen down the rabbit hole thinking I am going to be organized in the new year.

Elise sent in an interview with CM Ewan.  His new book is called Strangers In The Car.  Elise shared that the book is written in multiple view points and two time lines.  The one statement that really caught my attention was the idiom that ‘No good deed goes unpunished’.  The book sounds like a great thriller.

I am looking forward to the new year.  I am hopeful.  As always thanks for reading and thanks for being you!
