Every year just before Christmas, Goodreads sends me a retrospective of the books I read this year. I find it ironic that it comes out before Christmas, while there is still another week or so before the new year. I am sure many people are so busy they don’t have time to read. It is vacation for me so I can read to my heart’s content.
To this date I have read 181 books this year. Altogether 57,183 pages were read. The first book I read was Accidently His and the last book I read was a Jayne Ann Krentz book called Shattering Dawn. According to Goodreads, I am in the top 1% of readers and reviewers. I am blown away by that statistic, although to be fair, I am not sure how they came up with the statistic. Not surprisingly my three top genres are romance, historical romance and mystery.
Elise has sent in a review of Sara Driscoll’s newest book, Summit’s Edge. (Yes, the same book I read a few weeks ago.) Elise also interviewed Brian Andrews and Jeff Wilson. Their newest novel, Defense Protocol is a Jack Ryan novel (#25). The novel has suspense, difficult choices and lots of action.
The holidays this week of Christmas and Hanukkah will offer time with family and friends. Hopefully it will offer you time for reading and maybe even a new book or two. I wish you all the best. Certainly being able to run this site with help from friends is always a gift for me and hopefully for you!
