Meet Me In Paris by Kristin Harmel is another wonderful read that is poignant and impactful. The story follows several different people, some as main characters and some as minor characters who perform a role within the story. The pivotal element is that they are all in Paris and run into each other in various ways over the course of one week.
One of the best parts of the novel is that there are several different love stories that intertwine around the people bringing them together and then causing them to split apart. I had two favorite characters, Julia and Henry McGee. Julia is dying and has brought her daughter, Piper to Paris to share one last adventure with her. She knows that time is fleeting and wants to give Piper memories for her lifetime. (Yes, this part does require tissues.) My other favorite character is Henry during WWII, Celeste helped hide him from the Nazis until he could escape. They fell in love, but Henry thought Celeste had died. He is now back in Paris, hoping to reignite Celeste’s memory of their love. (Yes, another box of tissues is needed.)
There are other stories that are just as outstanding, but you have to read the book and fall in love with the characters like I did. I love how the author connected all the characters and kept their storylines from becoming muddled. Meet Me in Paris by Kristin Harmel is a great read.
