Heaven’s Cove series by Liz Eeles was a wonderful series that I inhaled this week. It was another great find on Kindle Unlimited. The stories all take place in a wonderful place called Heaven’s Cove. A small vacation town where people take care of each other. A small town where there are mysteries to be solved and new people to be met. Each novel can be read independently. Also each story contains a parallel story from the past that directly deals with the modern story. The novels are awesome.
Secrets at the Last House Before the Sea is about Rosie and Driftwood House. It is the house Rosie grew up in and after her mother’s death, she discovers that her mother did not own the house and Rosie’s dad was not her dad. Rosie has a dream of making Driftwood House a guest house. Then there is Liam, who is a nearby neighbor and local farmer. Liam offers to help her clean out the house, when Rosie find s some interesting information, that changes everything.
A Letter to the Last House Before the Sea is about Lettie. She is staying at Driftwood House while she is grieving her aunt’s death. Her aunt left her a letter and Lettie is following that and has a key that she is trying to find the lock it goes to. One person Lettie meets is Corey. He is a fisherman and is part of the rescue squad. When he introduces her to his grandmother, things get interesting. What happened with Great Aunt Iris and the town of Heaven’s Cove?
Girl at the Last House Before the Sea is about Freya. She has left her past behind her with all the difficulties. She is now trying to move forward and is staying as a helper to Kathleen. Kathleen is a bit of a mystery to Freya and there seems to be more about her than meets the eye. Her son, Ryan at first thinks she is a waste of time, but as time moves on, he becomes a more important part of Freya’s life. Everyone expects Freya to keep secrets about the others, which is causing havoc with Freya and her relationship with Ryan.
The Key to the Last House Before the Sea brings us Nessa and her story. She is a single mom and has lost her grandmother with whom she lived, her job and her home. Nessa is determined to find her way forward without any help if necessary. Her grandmother leaves her a key to an old house – definitely decrepit – and almost uninhabitable. Gabriel is in town to acquire the land that Nessa’s house is on. He is slowly falling for her, but she is focused on making a home for her child. Then some interesting things come to light and maybe that house has more than memories.
The Path to the Last House Before the Sea brings us Alyssa. She is someone who has left her past and changed her name. Right now she is working at a couple of jobs and living in a camper. Alyssa wants a new start. Jack is in town to help his father and is also learning to start his life again. Alyssa and Jack make an usual discovery that changes everything.
The Sisters at the Last House Before the Sea brings us to two sisters Isla and Caitlin. Their grandmother died and left them with a home and a dilemma. Caitlin starts off wanting to sell the house and Isla is not in favor of it. As the story progresses and Ben comes into the picture, the roles reverse. Figuring out the secret their grandmother left them will help them move forward, but everything is unclear.
The Diary at the Last House Before the Sea came out this year. It focuses on the Manor in Heaven’s Gate. A huge house that housed the local lord and his family. Clara’s family has been the housekeepers for the family for years. Now with the son and cousin returning to Brellasham Manor to help sell the property Clara and River reconnect kind of.
Each novel can be read alone and I found all of them to be wonderful reads.
