Get Lost With You by Sophie Sullivan is a modern day romance set in the town of Smile. The main character Jillian Keller who is raising her daughter alone and working with her brother’s place, Get Lost Lodge. It is with all this happening that her old crush Levi Bright moves back home.
Being that this is the second book in the series, the town and characters might be known to readers from the first book, but as I read it as a stand alone, I did not find my lack of prior knowledge was not a problem. Jillian’s family are a close family and they all pitch in to help each other. Smile being a small town guarantees that gossip passes quickly through the town, but it also means that many people are willing to pitch in and help. Levi, as a chef, moved back into town thinking of running a food truck and staying in Smile for good.
Levi and Jillian had eyes for each other since they were teenagers. Levi left to go to become a chef. Jillian left, married, had a daughter and returned divorced, heartbroken and less trusting. When Levi moves back, Jillian is hesitant at starting any relationship with Levi. She feels she can only count on herself and she needs to put her daughter first with all decisions. So much happens and yet they still just can’t keep their hands off each other.
Sophie Sullivan was a new author for me and I did enjoy her book. Get Lost With You was a good read.
