Falling Into You by Jill Shalvis is the third in Colburn brothers series. In this novelHazel Pierce and Tucker Colburn… The Colburn brothers run a construction business. Tucker works for them as well as being a Fireman/EMT. Also he takes his turns caring for their father. Tucker even as growing up was all about Hazel Pierce. She lived next door and her bedroom was his safe space when his father became dangerous.
The novel covers both of their backgrounds and how they intertwine with each other as teenagers and now. It answers questions about why Hazel left and how that difficulty left her emotionally struggling. Tucker also had huge struggles as a teenager. He also struggles making emotional connections. Their romance is like watching a drama with their inability to express themselves.
Jill Shalvis is a gifted writer. I did not expect a couple of the twists she threw into the book. Tucker might be my favorite brother. (Although to be honest, each brother was my favorite when reading the book about them.) I honestly don’t know for sure if this is the last book in the series as there is the sister and the hot man Miguel. Either way Falling Into You by Jill Shalvis is a great read!
