Cowboy, It’s Cold Outside by Maisey Yates is the latest (12th book) in the Four Corners Ranch Series. I have loved every book I have read in this series! I really enjoy the characters, the back stories and the wonderful way Maisey Yates spins her stories.
In this novel we focus on Sheena Patrick and Denver King, two people who are obstinate to a remarkable degree. Neither wants to follow rules or let the other person lead. Despite those small details (LOL), they go into business together and decide to open an axe throwing/bar. Each has their own thoughts about the build and each manages to piss off the other pretty regularly. Too bad the sparks were so strong between them.
Really part of the problem is the history between their fathers. Denver King’s father killed Sheena Patrick’s father. Sheena ended up raising her three younger sisters while barely an adult. Denver used to stick money in their mailbox monthly out of guilt about his father. There is so much to unpack with the history and add in their ability to be stubborn and jump to conclusions and you have a great story to add to the Four Corners Ranch Series.
Cowboy, It’s Cold Outside by Maisey Yates is a great book to read. The characters, the storyline and the desire to overcome the past gives the story the strength of character purpose and love.
