Coming Soon

The last couple of weeks, I decided to address my to-be-read list from NetGalley.  For the month of AprilI had several books to read and I wanted to stay on within the time limits with them.  Last week, I shared:  The Seven O’Clock Club, Three Days in June, Fun for the Whole Family, and  Summer Light on Nantucket.  The books were published this last week or this next week.

This week I focused on books that are coming out later this month. Each was a good read, but for different reasons.

Quinn by Chris Keniston is the next book in the Faraday Country Series. I need to share that I love her books, especially her series.  They are sweet, fun and full of genuinely caring people.  Quinn is one of the cousins who are part of a reality TV show.  He meets Eloise, who is a chef that is going to run the new restaurant.  Sparks fly while Aunt Eileen and her cronies help push them together.  I love how the dog shows up in the books when a new couple happens.

Fortunate Harbor is by Davis Bunn.  I love his stories of people who are being faced with new opportunities and they have to determine their course.  This is (hopefully) the first in a new series that focuses on the Outer Banks in North Carolina.  I love how the people are surrounded by characters that you know are going to keep showing up as secondary characters in the future.  Davis Bunn’s books are like a slow burn with small steps. I want them to end, because I want to know the ending, but I don’t want them to end because I love reading them.

Tough Luck by Sandra Dallas is a historical fiction that traces two youngsters in their quest to find their missing father.   There are a lot of adventures and interesting people (some good/some bad)/  I felt I had a clear image of how raw and unruly Denver was while at the same time the promise of the future of the state.

Elise sent in an interview with Patrice Lewis and introduced two new books.  Enjoy!

For those who have inquired.  I am healing, slowly but surely.  Everyday I try to do a little bit more.  Thank you for all the wonderful well wishes!!!
