Bonded in Death by JD Robb

Bonded in Death by JD Robb  is an awesome read.  It is incredible to believe that Nora Roberts has written 60 of these books and they continue to be awesomely fabulous!  Eve Dallas is a GREAT character who has grown and changed while still maintaining her “badassery” character.

Eve Dallas is a police lieutenant in the New York Police and Security Department.  She lives in the future (2060ish) where there are all sorts of new tools and weapons.  She is married to Roarke (the hottest man on the planet), who acts as her civilian contractor when needed.  She runs her department with lots of great characters, primarily with Peabody.  They also have help from other members of the NYPSD like Feeney, McNab, and Dr Mira.

In this novel, we learn more about the Urban Wars and Summersets’ role.  His background, always closely guarded, comes out as a member of an undercover group during the Urban Wars.  We also met members of his group.  The protagonist is a dark figure who simply is slowly built by Eve and her team through their dedication.

The novel is a great read from the first page to the end.  I struggled to pause reading it to accomplish the most simple task.  The book comes out in the beginning of February where I anticipate so many will want to read.  One of the great things about these novels is they can be read as stand-alones.

Bonded in Death by JD Robb is an awesomely good read!
