Beach Thriller by Jamie Day was a thriller as the title suggests, however it reads more like a mystery within a mystery and interesting people. A struggling writer, Holly Sinclair, was forced to leave her New York apartment and had to move into her family’s cottage on Cape Cod in Beaufort, Mass.
Holly had not been back to the cottage after her sister was killed in Beaufort. She continues to blame herself for not meeting her when they planned. However, not all is rosy moving back. She has to write a best seller or really write anything. Something was making noise in the attic.
The story is told in three voices, Holly, Jade and the Watcher (which is creepy). The past and the present collide as the story is slowly revealed. Clearly Holly is getting too close to answers when things start to happen… Beach Thriller by Jamie Day is a good read.
