Smuggler’s Cove by Fern Michaels is the start of a new series. It is listed as a mystery/thriller and I found it less than a thriller, but more like a small town romance with lots of questions that could lead to a mystery. Having said that, I really enjoyed reading this novel! I liked the characters, even with all the back story. I liked the setting and wanted to know what was going to happen in the next chapter.
Madison and Lincoln Taylor’s lives changed dramatically when they were young. That hardship forced them to find their own way in the world and separated them from the rest of the family. They were quite surprised by their uncles leaving them a marina in Smuggler’s Cove. Too bad it didn’t meet any of their dreams. On the Navesink river is a dilapidated marina that only services clam boats and has fuel.
However, they did not give up but decided to stay and try to make a go of the marina. There were questions and concerns. There were stories of legends, pirates and maybe a treasure map. On top of that there may be some love interests around!
Smuggler’s Cove by Fern Michaels is a good read.
