The Mother-Daughter Book Club by Susan Patterson and James Patterson was a book chosen for the title and the Patterson name. The four mothers were besties in college and then adopted another friend later. The five daughters are within 10 years of each other, but their personalities are all so different.
It is clear from the outset that bookclub is a misnomer. They are friends who laugh and love each other. They eat, have adventures, and sometimes talk about books. The first part of the book is about the last book club they had and then the story moves to three years later with a book club. This time the book club meets on Lake Como in Italy.
It is during this weekend that secrets come out. Lives are changed and the women of the bookclub remember why they are friends. I really enjoyed reading this novel. It reads quickly and the multiple points of view just makes each character stand out. The Mother-Daughter Book Club by Susan Patterson and James Patterson was a good read.
