Killer Vibes by Jack Friday is one of those books that you just don’t really want to put down. The story has twists, turns, surprises and interesting characters. Certainly the main character is the most interesting of all. Peter Key has never held a job, unless selling drugs is considered one. He is a couch surfer and pretty much a mess. Then his uncle dies and he is left money, a house and a car, all of which come with strings!
Peter and a cast of characters work toward discovering what happened to his uncle, and lots of missing money. There also seems to be a cousin Peter never knew about. On top of that every day another person comes out and demands Peter sell his uncle’s house quickly to them. This just muddies the water. Then we have things blowing up and mass confusion about who is on what side.
Luckily, he has Grady, a private detective helping him and his aunt who seems to know some important family secrets. This is the first novel in a new series called Peter Key Mystery Series. I enjoyed the book, loved the quirky characters and the setting! Killer Vibes by Jack Friday is a good read.
