The Neighbors are Watching by Aggie Blum Thompson

The Neighbors are Watching by Aggie Blum Thompson is a thriller with so many people involved in various ways.  Eastbrook sits outside Bethesda, which is outside of Washington, DC.  It is a small community where a group of neighbors are tight.  Their children grew up together and now as the last of them are getting ready to leave for college, things start to happen.  Really they started a year ago with the death of a young nanny who was shot.

Caren was at a party one night and left early as she was feeling uncomfortable.  When she woke up the next day confused and falling over a neighbor helped her get home. The facts don’t add up and she feels everyone is just assuming she was drunk or took something.  Caren keeps asking questions and the answers are not always what she expected.  She feels more and more secluded from everyone including her family and husband.  It does not help that her daughter is leaving, she does not have a job, and whatever happened that night left her with a concussion.

In this neighborhood the neighbors are watching. Caren is determined to help find the truth, with the help of an unexpected ally and lots of questions.  The suburb seems full of intrigue.  The Neighbors are Watching by Aggie Blum Thompson is an interesting read.
