WOW. Was it hot this week!!!! I actually pulled out the air conditioner and set it up in the living room. I have found that with all the bandages on my leg, my feet are HOT, which drives me crazy. That of course requires rearrangement of furniture and plants. Always a dilemma.
This week is supposed to be cooler so reading time might be lost to gardens and gardening. FYI
Last week was graduation at “my school”, this week was bridge day (i.e. last day of school). I was glad that there was shade provided but it was still too hot for me. It was nice to speak with parents I have worked with for years and meet new people. I don’t want to say that these activities got in the way of reading, but they did.
This week the book count is lower than usual. I have to admit I “DNF’ed (did not finish) a couple of books and as always I have chosen not to share them with you. After all, just because I did not like a novel, doesn’t mean other people won’t like it. I think it is too hard to write a novel that I should be disparaging because it was not my cup of tea.
Once again Elise Cooper and I proved how much we like similar authors by this week’s selections. Elise sent in an interview with Catherine Bybee and I reviewed the novel. This week Elise also sent in a review of Love Comes in Small Packages, a book I read in March. I really enjoyed the second book in the picture, The Lake House as well.
