From Cradle to Grave by Rhys Bowen is the 19th book in the series called Her Royal Spyness. This is the first book I read in the series and absolutely enjoyed the novel. I did not feel like I missed any prior knowledge that I could not figure out from the novel.
The main character is Lady Georgiana “Georgie” Rannoch. She is so far down the line of inheriting the throne, but is still considered part of the royal line. She is a new mother and totally in love with her family. Her husband, Darcy works in London and travels at times for his job.
Astounded by the audacity, Georgie opens the door to her new nanny sent by her sister-in-law. Not only was it not expected, it was not wanted either. Then to top it all off, her sister-in-law shows up as well. Georgie feels uncomfortable in her own home. She wants them to leave, but she can’t tell them to go.
Meanwhile, Georgie’s friends shared with her about the death of a couple of young men, whose deaths sounded suspicious. She is drawn into the investigation, not believing the deaths were accidental, but murder.
I found this novel to be like enjoying a cup of tea and chatting with a friend.
From Cradle to Grave by Rhys Bowen to be a good read!
