Holmes, Marple and Poe by James Patterson

Holmes, Marple and Poe by James Patterson is a new series based in NYC. This is the first novel in a new series. The main characters are Brendon Holmes, Margaret Marple and Auguste Poe.  They are a group of Private Investigators. They are brash, unorthodox, and interesting – maybe even quirky.

Holmes, Marple and Poe all have different strengths and talents.  They use them as a team to help them find out the truth in mysteries.  They are looking for a missing daughter and her stepdad, an art theft, a case of missing people and an old case based on their new digs.  Meanwhile they meet some not so nice characters from NYC (interestingly men in power).  Together they work to solve them sometimes in unique ways (chasing men through a crypt.)

The novel as with most of Patterson’s books is made up of short chapters that read quickly and keep your attention. I am looking to read the second novel in the series as I was quite entertained with this one.  Holmes, Marple and Poe is a lovely quirky “who-dun-it” with interesting cases.
