Catching Lady Theo by Ella Quinn

Catching Lady Theo by Ella Quinn was an historical romance novel.  It includes all the wonderful elements like balls, and dancing, and carriage rides and Gunters. However, it also includes debutantes that are spiteful and jealousy as well as cruel to get what they want.  Backstabbing is like a sport for some of the rich and think they are important.

Leo, Duke of Chandos has decided to mend his ways. He has decided he wishes to marry his friend’s younger sister,  Lady Theo Vivers.  As she is one of the Worthington clan, he knows she will only marry for love and her family only wants her to be happy.  Leo knows that he can not be a rake any longer and decides his best method to “catch her” is to be her friend first.  Leo is forced to smile and be gracious even when he wants to knock other gentlemen out of the way.

There are some nefarious people who seemed determined to get in between them.  There is Theo’s whole family trying to help them.  Then there is Theo’s ability to matchmake some of her followers, helping clear the path for Leo.

Catching Lady Theo is a fun romp through a historical romance.  It is the second book in the series called Here Comes the Grooms.  It is by a favorite author and quite frankly made me more determined to have the book end “correctly”. Catching Lady Theo by Ella Quinn is a good read.
