All They Need to Know by Eileen Goudge is the first book in the series called Gold Creek. I was given an ARC of book #2 and enjoyed it, so I went back to find the first novel. Yes, I did enjoy this one as well.
Kyra Smith and the stolen dog are on the run. Her husband is an abusive man and she knew she had to leave or be killed. With only money and an abused dog she stole from a convenience store, Kyra ends up in Gold Creek. With help from the Tattooed Ladies Club, she finds a place to live and jobs to help her. Kyra meets a wonderful man, who wants to help her, if she would just let him into life. Their plan does not go as they hoped and now the balance shifts and Kyra needs to be on her guard to stay safe. The book reads smoothly with great characters. All They Need to Know by Eileen Goudge is a good read.
